Appender with logback

I am system admin, not a java guy. As a admin I have to monitor applications, logs etc. My dev guys using java with logback (May be successor of log4j project).

I don't know it supports to logback or what. I am using nogios core with nrpe plugin on linux.

Kindly please tell me someone how to configure this for logback based application.
