check_smstools is a plugin to monitor a GSM modem used in conjunction with smstools3. It relies on a feature called regular_run_cmd which is found in newer versions of smstools. Its similar to the script check_smstools3, but its based on the newer Nagios::Plugin Framework.
Its features include:
- Signal strength checking
- Modem registration status checking
- Operator checking (e.g. is the Operator the expected one?)
- Status message with Signal strength as Positive Number and as dBm value
- Performance data as Positive Number and as dBm value.
Unfortunately its currently incompatible with the Embedded Perl Interpreter so it needs to be executed without it.
