The existing 3ware scripts I've seen do not check the BBU or any of the Disk parameters like how many ReAllocated sectors or the temperature of the disk.

Should work on any Nagios versions that can call the script and accept the output.

These are Linux scripts to be used with NRPE. They are based on others scripts I've found here and tweaked to suit my needs.

Enjoy and feel free to provide feedback using the email address embedded in the scripts.

Should work on any Nagios versions that can call the script and accept the output.

This version checks the BBU and several parameters of each disk in a RAID group.

These are Linux scripts with NRPE. They are based on others scripts I've found here and tweaked to suit my needs.

For the Disk tests, the script checks if the disk is within certain parameters on:
3ware status is used
Temperature of disk
If NCQ is enabled
How many Sectors are Re-Allocated
Most severe condition is reported. (If Temp is 90C and RA is 5, ERROR is reported as a Temp of 90C is ERROR but RA of 5 is WARNING.

The output looks something like this:
3ware_Disk_13 OK 12-08-2011 14:48:11 20d 2h 41m 32s 1/4 OK (Disk /c4/p13 is OK, NCQ is Yes, Temp: is 44, RA Sect: is 2)

The BBU tests are similar to the Disk tests

Important: You must update the thresholds within the scripts to something that suits you. Do not use the default values in the script.

Enjoy and feel free to provide feedback using the email address embedded in the scripts.
