OpenMakao is the smaller opensource version of Makao.
It has also a function to generate Nagios services for the cfg file.
OpenMakao contains logfile and port check.
You can define several logfiles, and define error tokens
and also exception from error tokens.
Everything is configured via an ini file.
It has also a function to generate Nagios service descriptions for the Nagios cfg files.

Although I am not a major friend of GPL, this software comes along with it.
BUT it is restricted in the way that you have to honour
human rights, or not any license or right for usage will be granted.
In opposite to Makao, which is especially for Siebel CRM (closed source), OpenMakao is opensource without Siebel checks.
