A perl script to check the system time on a host against the localhost's time using snmp. You can optionally pass the number of drift seconds allowed (defaults to 120 seconds). This script is pretty basic, but it's quick and it does the job.
Please Note: The newest version of this script has snmpget hardcoded to '/usr/bin/snmpget.' you'll need to edit it for your environment.
Please Note: If you move from 1.0.4 to 1.0.5, I had to switch the option for passing the number of seconds from '-v' to '-n' (because of the conflict w/ all of the SNMP options when adding snmpv3).
1.0.4
- using utils.pm
- re-directing STDERR to STDOUT on syscall
1.0.5
- using getopt::long now
- added options for SNMPv3
- expanded debugging output a bit
